Journalism Program Student Work

We believe the learning process isn’t complete until you practice your skills out in the world. SOJC journalism students hone their skills through real-world, hands-on learning opportunities at internships, publications, student organizations, and more. By the time they graduate, our students have portfolios full of published work. Check out some of their projects:

For the Science and Memory program, students capture the majesty of the Alaskan Copper River Delta and why its ice and water are so important to the environment.
SOJC student group Combined Culture confronts the murders of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and Trayvon Martin in this powerful piece combining videography and thought-provoking narration.
