Undergraduate Advising
How Advising Works
The SOJC Student Success Center is the one-stop office for undergraduate advising. The same team that helps you choose courses also helps you plan for internships and jobs, so academic and career advising happen in one place.
- Drop-in advising is for quick questions and runs first-come, first-served, with no appointment needed. Drop-ins are offered on weekdays during the academic term, in person at 134 Allen Hall or remotely by phone or video. Hours change each term, so check the Student Success Center page for this week's schedule.
- Appointments give you dedicated time to map out your degree, plan a term-by-term schedule, or talk through career goals. Email sojcadvising@uoregon.edu or contact an advisor directly to set up a time.
Who It's For
Every SOJC undergraduate can meet with an advisor, including students who haven't enrolled yet. You don't need to have declared a major.

Graduate Advising
Graduate advising is coordinated through the SOJC Graduate Programs office. For questions about requirements, registration, petitions, funding, or your thesis or terminal project, start with your program director or the graduate affairs team. The graduate student site has the current forms, deadlines, and handbook.
