Derek Brandow joined the SOJC and advertising faculty in 2015. He is the Instructor of Confidence and Faculty Director for the Media and Social Action Academic Residential Community. He participates with first-year programing by teaching two classes, Face2Face and This is Me. Additionally, he is Faculty Fellow for Living Learning Center, a residential hall on campus.

Derek earned his undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Oregon in 2000, and his MAT from Pacific University in 2002.

He was born and raised in Oregon where he continues to live with his wonderful wife, Amanda and their four kids.
