Hanin Najjar, class of '21, co-founded a company before completing her undergraduate degree in journalism and political science. Now, only a few months after graduation, she has been named a Portland Innovator under 25 by Portland Business Journal for her work with Parachute Media.
“Student-athletes have a full plate, and figuring out how to monetize their brands is an incredible challenge. Tylynn Burns used the skills she gained directing the SOJC’s student-run ad agency to launch her own event agency. She also stars in HBO’s “Sweet Life: Los Angeles.”
A lifelong fan of “the beautiful game,” Jackie Gutierrez parlayed her SOJC Journalism Master’s degree into a website that covers women’s soccer at the highest level.
 
Ali AAsum harnessed the hands-on experience gained through her SOJC degree to propel her toward a PR career. She now manages the Ninkasi Brewing brand.
2021 Eric Allen Outstanding Young Alum
