Biography

Allison VanSciver has worked as a professional designer and art director for two decades, with expertise in branding; print, digital, and web design and strategy; and digital accessibility. Prior to joining the UO, she worked in advertising and marketing both on the agency side and in-house at the University of Missouri, where she served as the institution’s first brand manager. She spent three years working in UO Communications before joining the SOJC full-time in 2021.

At the SOJC, she manages creative production of the school's marketing and communication materials; oversees visual identity and brand compliance; designs, builds, and maintains the SOJC website including the faculty and staff directory; manages email marketing; creates content for and helps manage SOJC social media accounts; tracks metrics across platforms and contributes to data-informed strategy; and helps with promotion and logistics for SOJC signature events.

Allison centers her work around brand identity and accessibility, with an emphasis on inclusive design principles. She is a Midwesterner at heart who misses authentic barbeque, and frequently plans travel focused on live music and culinary experiences.
