Andrew Robbins
Biography
Andrew comes from a cultural studies tradition, having completed his master’s degree in the School of Culture and Communication at The University of Melbourne, Australia. As an interdisciplinary scholar who uses historical and ethnographic methods, Andrew's doctoral research centers around transgender film festivals and punk subcultural formations in San Francisco in the 1990s.
International Experience
Andrew lived outside of the US between 2009-2015, working, volunteering, and studying in Denmark, Singapore, and Australia. He is co-founder of Oregon's first trans and genderqueer film festival (www.rewirefilmfestival.com).
