Established by Professor Price's immediate family at his death in 1967 to recognize students of excellence who share his interest and passion in the history of journalism, thereby highlighting the importance of journalism to the development and continued democracy of the nation.

Awarded to a distinguished student for excellence in the field of journalism history.
