Andrea Kowalski

Biography:

Andrea manages the school’s internal and external communications and publications, including eFlash, the school’s e-newsletter, and the SOJC website. She comes to the SOJC from Yoga Journal magazine, where she served as Online Editorial Director. An alumna of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, she has also served as Online Producer for Prevention magazine, reporter for the Los Angeles Newspaper Group, and journalism teacher/publications advisor for a Department of Defense High School in Okinawa, Japan. In her tenure at Yoga Journal, she built the digital brand to become a finalist in the Webby Awards, a finalist in the National Magazine Awards, and the winner of multiple Maggie Awards (Western Publishing Association) for digital excellence. Andrea also enjoys teaching yoga and surfing.
