Saturdays, 8/17 and 8/24/2013
9 a.m. - 4:20 p.m.
UO Portland, Turnbull Center, Floor 3R
Instructor: Chris Chavez
Description: The class will be broken into two main sections. The first part will examine brands from a theoretical perspective (the history of brands, the components of brands such as signs and symbols and consumers' relationship with brands). The second part of the class will take a more practice oriented approach to brand. We'll discuss building and re-inventing a brand and managing it in a competitive marketplace. We'll look at case studies involving how corporations, non-profits and even legislators brand themselves and their efforts.
