Undergraduate Career Services

Welcome to the School of Journalism and Communication Career Services

Our undergraduate student services team is dedicated to assisting advertising, journalism, media studies and public relations majors in identifying career goals and creating a plan to achieve those goals. Students are encouraged to make appointments throughout their college tenure.

We can help you…

  • Find SOJC student groups to join
  • Research internship opportunities
  • Network with alumni and industry professionals
  • Develop and/or edit your resume and cover letter materials
  • Contact and communicate with companies and employers of interest
  • Connect with SOJC faculty that share your interests
  • Evaluate types of opportunities that benefit your long-range goals
  • Assist in preparation and practice for interviews

We have remote drop-in hours weekly and all our career services are available to you, even if you are not physically on the UO campus.
