Deadlines: Meet them or beat them!

It’s important to remember that you have chosen a major in a professional school. To prepare students for work in the media professions, professors in journalism courses are very rigid about deadlines. You will avoid disappointments if you are very conscientious about turning in assignments on time. If your professor says something is due before the beginning of class on a specific day, you should make certain that you and your assignment are there as assigned. If you don’t, you risk failing the assignment and the course.  Journalism instructors will make their policies on late work clear at the beginning of each course. Be sure to pay attention and heed their advice.
