On March 10 at 3 p.m. Competition Not Conflict Club and the Confucius Institute will hold their first ever ping pong tournament. A Chinese invitation to the U.S. Ping Pong team in 1971 provided the first hint of improved U.S.-China relations. Time Magazine dubbed it, "The Ping heard around the world." Competition Not Conflict Club is announcing a tournament to remember this history!

The Ping Pong tournament is open to all UO students, faculty, and staff. We will have two different tournaments during the day. A singes (1 person) and a doubles (2 people) tournament. The winners will get prizes from local businesses. All participants will receive a free T-Shirt. If you are interested in participating in the tournament please send your name and partners name (if you have a teammate) to Jessica Zutz at jzutz@uoregon.edu. Space is limited, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible. If you have any further questions feel free to contact Jessica Zuts or Alejandro at Alejandr@uoregon.edu.

CNC Club is also looking for a photographer and videographer to take photos and record the event. If you are interested in photographing/recording the tournament, send Alejandro an email expressing your interest.

Cost: $8 for team of two/$5 for single players.
Location: Gerlinger 220
