The annual “Best of Campus” edition features the best of student life in Eugene. Students vote on their favorite places to eat, drink, and study, as well as their favorite major and professor.
This year marks the second SOJC win for “best major,” nominated for its innovative curriculum and ability to keep up with the ever-changing communications landscape. In addition, Kuttis was awarded “best professor,” the second SOJC faculty member to be honored in as many years.
“I feel incredibly inspired by the confluence of energy on campus which is very easy to get caught up in if you’re off campus living west campus,” says Kuttis about her win. She hopes to encourage her students to pursue their passions ardently and help them realize their pathway to a fulfilling vocation, not just a job.
Kuttis joined the SOJC in 2013. In addition to teaching a variety of public relations courses, Kuttis shares her professional experience as a faculty advisor for IR Futures, a student group that promotes knowledge of the capital markets among students. Prior to her move to Eugene, Kuttis was a vice president at Edelman Public Relations in New York.
