		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for this terrific guide! I&#039;m gearing up to teach a fall course involving data journalism (it&#039;s a hybrid/mutation of my previous information graphics course), and I&#039;m consuming all information I can find. I&#039;ll be using the new DDJ text, and I know Excel spreadsheets pretty well, but I&#039;m a bit at sea with more complex apps. Fusion tables looks tremendous (and accessible).

Have you seen any of the work done with NodeXL? I was just introduced to it at AEJMC this year and thought it provided some interesting social science research opportunities (pity it&#039;s PC-only, though - I can run an emulator, but it&#039;s a pain). Anyway, thanks again for this great synthesis of what&#039;s out there.]]></description>
