Hannah recently graduated from the UO with a major in journalism and international studies and a minor in African studies. In summer 2015, she interned at Today Newspaper in Accra, Ghana, where she interviewed DJ Sonny Louis and Nana Ama, one of the only Ghanaian journalists covering LGBTQ issues. She spent the fall 2015 term in Morocco, where she wrote profiles on a visual artist and a controversial political cartoonist. Last summer, she lived in New York City, working as an editorial intern at the arts publication Paper Magazine and at Empathetic Media, a startup that uses augmented and virtual reality to tell compelling, nonfiction stories. At the University of Oregon, she was a senior writing coach at the SOJC’s Writing Central and the managing editor of Ethos. She also covered arts and entertainment for Emerald Media and edited Align, the campus’ style blog. She recently completed her thesis for the Robert D. Clark Honors College on la SAPE, a social movement of well-dressed men that began in the two Congos. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, perfecting her bubble tea recipe, and practicing French.
