Rachel is a senior in the SOJC majoring in media studies and advertising, with a minor in women’s and gender studies. She is passionate about international media and politics, and has spent the last two summers abroad: first, reporting on politics in Accra, Ghana, then writing about sports, arts, and queer culture in London. Before deciding to pursue advertising strategy, Rachel spent a year writing about arts and culture for the Emerald, and has also written for The Siren feminist magazine. She is currently the strategy director of the NSAC Ad Team. When she isn’t in Allen Hall, Rachel enjoys tweeting about politics, singing too loud, and searching for Eugene’s best cup of coffee. Rachel has taken the Gateway series, J342: The Creative Strategist, several J460 classes, the Journalism Honors sequence and J314: Intro to Media Studies.
