Rachel Benner is a junior studying advertising and media studies in the SOJC, with a minor in women’s and gender studies. She spent Summer 2016 in Accra, Ghana, covering government and politics for radio station Starr FM as part of the Media in Ghana program. Before deciding to pursue advertising strategy, Rachel spent a year writing about arts and culture for the Emerald, and has also written for The Siren feminist magazine. She is currently the strategy intern on the NSAC Ad Team. When she isn’t writing, Rachel enjoys tweeting about politics, singing too loud, and searching for Eugene’s best cup of coffee. Rachel has taken Gateway to Media and J342: Creative Strategist.
