Scholarship Description: 

Established in 1979 by a bequest from the late Laura B. Cole in honor of her husband, Arlyn E. Cole. Cole was the founder and owner of the Cole and Weber advertising agency in Portland until his death. He was active in community affairs and held leadership positions in a number of arts organizations. In 1962, Cole was named "Advertising Man of the Year" by the Portland Advertising Federation.

Qualifications: 
Awarded to students in the School of Journalism and Communication. Preference is given to students who intend to pursue advertising as a career.
